About
Hello,
I'm Leia Davis (formerly Luke Davis)
I'm a trans woman studying Journalism at the University of Mississippi.
I'm originally from San Diego, California, specifically Lakeside. I went to a Spanish immersion elementary school (and can thank my mom for helping start the program in the first place), and now I can speak Spanish as fluently as I do English.
My interest in the visual arts began at a very early age, fostered by my father, who taught IB Film at the high school I would eventually attend and graduate from. I learned iMovie while still in elementary school, and since then have mastered not just Final Cut Pro, but a large portion of the Adobe Suite, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, and InDesign. I've also been teaching myself both After Effects and Blender in order to round out my skillset.
Coincidentally, my father also taught English, and from that I gained a love of literature as well. I daresay I fancy myself quite the writer, and while I love my science fiction & fantasy, I write a mean news story as well.
